During a high growth phase for the company, we focused on our native app to bring that experience up to stand out within the highly competitive space of corporate hotel booking. As a lead product designer on the Core Booking team, I worked closely with my cross functional counterparts to address many UX issues as well as up-level the overall visual design and polish of the application. While I also worked closely with my design counterparts on the overall core user flow, I championed the checkout experience and its crucial role in converting users, resulting in a significant boost in bookings.
I was also part of an experiment that looked at an option for booking hotels rooms directly from the search results, called Express Book. This focused on our admin persona to allow for a quicker, more seamless booking experience when our users' jobs to be done included multiple bookings for different employees.
